VP****: Full authorisation for high and low voltage
At VP**** level you are authorised for all work on both high and low voltage under NEN 3140 and NEN 3840. 40 exam questions cover the full breadth of this authorisation.
When do you need VP****?
VP**** is for electricians who work fully independently on high and low voltage: transformer panels, main distribution, high-voltage pylons. Think of work in energy distribution, industry and data centres.
What you need to master
To pass VP**** you need to master both LV and full HV, including the most complex switching programme (schakelbrief) situations.
- Full high voltage up to 50 kV and above
- Closing and opening complex ring mains
- Portable earthing sets, selection devices, arc flash helmets
- Interaction between HV and LV switching programmes
